The theme of the 36th "International Conference on Information Management" organized by the Information Management Society is "A New Wave of Moving from Information Management (IM) to Intelligent Management (IM)." This is seen as a new trend in information technology development by both academia and industry. In the face of the accelerated global impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable development, organizations must effectively leverage technology to drive digital transformation. This allows them responding quickly to various uncertainties and challenges of change with the assistance of AI. Since the breakthrough of AI following the Covid-19 pandemic, countries around the world have focused on addressing the current challenges posed by large language models (LLM). AI has become a prominent field in research and technological applications today, with major tech companies continuously advancing in multimodal processing using natural language, speech, and images/videos. These companies are seeking breakthroughs and making effective use of AI tools, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini AI model. These models are also used as auxiliary tools by various tech giants, including MediaTek's "Dago" and Wistron’s "Columbus." Nvidia, through the development of AI chips, has seen its stock price soar to the top one global market value, highlighting the next trend in AI. As an intelligent assistant, AI can be applied in many business organizations and for general users. With advancements in technology, emerging technologies like AI, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are comprehensively changing the applications and scope of information management (IM), propelling it toward intelligent management (IM).
