The past year has been turbulent for the carbon removal and wider sustainability community, despite record offtake agreements and a 78% growth in total purchases, we face a new US administration with questionable climate perspectives and an uncertain road ahead. Uniting the mCDR community is essential to discuss progress in deployments and commercial removals, and to overcome bottlenecks like permitting challenges, reliable MRV, and standardizing commercialization routes.
